As a Unitarian Universalist congregation, the Carbondale Unitarian Fellowship, practices congregational polity, which means our governance is the responsibility of our congregation. CUF does receive support and guidance from the Unitarian Universalist Association (UUA) but policy and governing decisions are made locally. Major decisions are made by this congregation at Congregational Meetings held at least twice each year.
