Our year long Deep Listening Campaign to improve listening skills within CUF is off to a great start.  We have divided the campaign into 4 phases. In our first phase we held trainings on how to develop better listening skills; 18 people attended one or more of these sessions.  (We will be offering more training in January for those who are interested but who have not been able to attend.)

In Phase 2 we will be initiating an effort to practice those skills with others in our community. We decided to focus on getting to know each other better.  To facilitate this effort we have put together a worksheet of steps for initiating these deep listening opportunities.  If you feel ready to listen deeply, we are asking you to identify 3 people in our community and practice your skills over the next 3 months.  Copies of the worksheet will also be available by the nametags at CUF.  There will be an announcement about this effort in the Wednesday bulletin in early November letting others know this listening will be occurring.
