SOLAR ECLIPSE WEEKEND (8/19-21) AT CUF:  Due to the official estimates of the number of people visiting Carbondale over the weekend of the Solar Eclipse, the Building and Grounds committee will implement the following plan to assure that our building stays secure and accessible to members:

On Saturday, Aug. 19th,  at 9 AM B&G members will set up sawhorse barriers at each entrance to our parking lot.

On Sunday, Aug. 20th, at 9:30 AM, B&G members will move the parking lot barriers.  (We anticipate that parking at Parrish School as well as parking along Parrish Lane will not be possible.) To accommodate our members and visitors, we will have volunteers directing parking traffic to our north lawn. And after the Sunday Service barriers will be placed at the entrances to our North lawn.

On Monday, Aug. 21st, The Fellowship will be closed. Parking lot barriers will only be in place at the entrances to the North lawn.

CUF folks and their visitors are invited to watch the total eclipse together from the CUF grounds on Monday, August 21, 1-2pm. If you’re nearby, and interested in joining the “vUUing”, walk or bike or roll on over.* Don’t forget to bring water and your eclipse glasses! Contact person is Amy Weber (amyweber1@msn.com).

On Tuesday, Aug.22nd, at 9 AM, B&G members will remove all barriers.

If any CUF members need access to the parking lot while the barricades are up, please contact Jerry Molumby (457-8866) for instructions.

Volunteers are needed to periodically check Fellowship doors and windows throughout the weekend. There will be a sign-up sheet for specific tasks in the CUF foyer beginning Sun. Aug. 6.
